The general topic for our second speech is entitled " the Passion Speech". What are you passionate about in your life? "Love what you do, and the rest will follow" is an expression that we hear from many successful people. They understand the key to success in their lives whether in their career or their personal relationships is about working with their passions. Why are you majoring in your declared major? Are you passionate about this work? What are your hobbies, interests and/or beliefs? Share your passion with the class in this next speech assignment. See the handout and sample outline for direction in this speech. I am excited to hear your passions in our last speech this summer.
The biggest adventure you can ever take is to live the life of your dreams.

My Speech buddy is Quand Brinson, her passion speech was about her grandmother who battles cancer.
Quanda captivated her audience through an attention getter which was good. Her introduction was presented well.
Quanda voice has a distinct voice. She did a better job this time articulating her presentation. She has a nice pitch to her voice. It is loud and clear. The rate she went by was okay. It was not too fast or slow. One thing I noticed about Quanda was her posture. She was not as nervous as she was the first time.
Unfortunately, she kept on looking at the powerpoint in the beginning. Towards the end, however she was able to keep an eye contact.
In addition,She used humor in her speech connecting with the audience and breaking that barrier between them. I admired the way she talked about her grandmother. Her passion really came cross, because the audience was able to see it through her eyes and voice.
One improvement I feel Quanda needs is the use of citations. She did not use enough. Also, her crediblity did not come across in her speech very well.
Her conclusion, on the other hand was magnificent. I absolutely loved the conclusion. I felt it was creative and memorable.

Your attention grabber was great, the singing in the beginning was very different and inspiring but most importantly it woke your audience up and made them pay attention to what you were about to say. Your on point citing was great even though you forgot one point on the Stone Pony citing if it had not been sad I wouldn't have complained at all. You elaborated well on what inspired you and the timeline of the creation of your passion. Your voice was clear and conversational as always, I never feel like I'm listening to a drone when you speak. You spoke confidently and showed that you didn't just make up what you were passionate about. She knows the person she interviewed pretty well but didn't elaborate it enough to the audience. The ending was also hasty, it was like you wanted to hurry and finish.
